NEW FOR 2027! The GEM, the largest archeological museum in the world, is now partially open to the public, so we are
also taking our guests there as well. When guests walk into the magnificent entrance hall, they are
immediately greeted by the towering 36-foot, 3,200-year-old statue of Ramses II. Originally, this
imposing piece of history was brought to the museum in 2018, where the beautiful atrium was built
around it. Once they walk past the pharaoh’s ancient stone image and up the Grand Staircase behind
him, guests will also be treated to a breathtaking view of the pyramids.
Once the museum is fully open, guests will be able to see over 100,000 artifacts displayed here as well
as a special King Tutankhamun (commonly known as King Tut) exhibit, featuring his mask and treasures
discovered in his tomb. Until King Tut’s wing of the GEM is open, we will continue to visit both the GEM
and the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, where these artifacts are currently on display.
